In our shelter, we value the genuineness of the dishes. Many of the products we use are homemade or come from local suppliers, ensuring a sincere and quality culinary experience.

Flavors of Trentino

Start your gastronomic journey with our platters, featuring the strong flavor of products such as speck, local salami, smoked pancetta, lard, and mountain cheeses, all accompanied by mustard fruits and homemade bread prepared in our mountain hut.

Authentic Mountain Flavors

Also unmissable is the traditional polenta, served with ingredients such as grilled cheese, goulash, rabbit, lucanica sausage, mushrooms and sauerkraut. The polenta is made with Storo flour and slowly cooked on the wood stove, in its classic copper cauldron. For a tasty alternative, you can enjoy our Piatto Unico dell'Altissimo, consisting of polenta, goulash, canederli with melted butter and sage, accompanied by a selection of mixed mountain cheeses.

Desserts and artisanal grappas

Your culinary experience at Rifugio Altissimo Damiano Chiesa will end with our homemade desserts. Our chef prepares them with care and dedication, offering options such as buckwheat cake with wild berry jam filling, the traditional fregoloti cake and genuine pies. At the end of the meal, you can indulge in tasting our numerous flavored grappas, a perfect finishing touch to complete this simple yet satisfying culinary experience that celebrates the authentic flavors of Trentino.
